Heart Opening Retreat · Joshua Tree, California
March 19 – March 22, 2026
3 nights · 4 days · up to 6 participants
This is a heart-opening retreat held in the high desert of Joshua Tree.
It is offered as a gentle reorientation and integration for those completing the Huini Kuin immersion, and as a complete contemplative retreat in its own right for those seeking grounding, clarity, and reconnection through presence, prayer, and relationship with the land.
The role of this retreat
Sacred cactus is a medicine of clarity, heart, and coherence.
This retreat is designed to support integration through softness rather than intensity—allowing insight to settle into the body, the heart, and the lived orientation of one’s life. The work unfolds through presence, movement, prayer, and time on the land, guided by the steady and relational nature of Huachuma.
This container invites alignment through gentleness, honesty, and embodied listening.
Lineage and facilitation
This retreat is guided by me and informed by Peruvian traditions, held with respect for the lineage of the medicine and the cultures that have carried this work forward.
My role is to hold the container, guide the ceremonial rhythm, and support preparation and integration with care, humility, and responsibility.
This work is approached as spiritual and contemplative in nature, not as a therapeutic or medical offering.
Ceremony and ritual
This retreat includes the following ceremonial:
2 day ceremonies
Excursion into Joshua Tree National Park
Opening Circle
Closing Circle
All practices are held within a clear and respectful ceremonial container.
Land and accommodation
The retreat is held on private, secluded land in the Joshua Tree desert.
The high desert environment is similar to the natural landscape where the cactus originates—open, sunlit, expansive, and close to the sky. The land is treated as both teacher and supportive backdrop throughout the retreat.
Accommodation is simple and communal. Mattresses are provided in shared rooms. Linens and bedding are included. Bathrooms are shared. Please bring your own towel.
A shared outdoor jacuzzi and fireplace is available for rest and integration.
