Huini Kuin Immersion: Joshua Tree, California
March 12 – March 17, 2026
5 nights · 6 days · up to 10 participants
This is an immersive ceremonial retreat guided by the Huini Kuin lineage, held on private land in the high desert of Joshua Tree National Park.
The retreat is an initiation into Huini Kuin medicine culture, ceremony, and worldview held with simplicity, reverence, and care. It is designed as a deep encounter rather than an experience to consume.
The role of this retreat
This retreat is a focused immersion into Huini Kuin ceremonial tradition.
Participants are invited into a living lineage through direct relationship with the medicine, the songs, the rituals, and the people who carry them. The work unfolds through ceremony, time on the land, and shared presence rather than instruction or explanation.
This is a deep dive, held with grounded structure and respect.
Lineage and facilitation
Ceremonies are led by Txana Tuwe, a respected leader and medicine carrier of the Huini Kuin people.
The retreat is held collaboratively by Txana, Leah, and myself. My role includes hosting the container, supporting preparation and integration, and tending the relational and energetic field of the group throughout the immersion.
This work is approached with humility and responsibility, honoring Indigenous sovereignty and the integrity of the tradition.

Land and accommodation
The retreat is held at a private home and land in the Joshua Tree desert, a place that has supported many years of deep ceremonial work.
Accommodation is simple and communal. Think of it as summer camp for adults.
Participants sleep on provided mattresses in shared rooms. Linens and bedding are provided. Bathrooms are shared. You will need to bring your own towel.
The simplicity of the space is intentional and supports grounding, humility, and presence. Night skies, silence, and the desert landscape are central aspects of the experience.
The property sits on two acres of private desert land and is fully secluded. There is a shared outdoor jacuzzi available for rest and integration between ceremonies as well as a outdoor fire place for gatherings.
The environment is intentionally simple, quiet, and held for the work.
